About

Our Mission

Too often, traditional assessments reduce you to a single label or a rigid quadrant.

We believe that real insight doesn't come from placing people in boxes, but from understanding the dynamic layers that shape who we are. By measuring exactly how your attentional focus and unique traits interact, Dawn Profile highlights the specific motivations and tendencies that make you different.

Through this approachable, data-backed instrument, you uncover the complex patterns in how you think, work, and relate to the world. You can use this clarity to your immediate advantage, not just to make confident decisions about your future, but to make you a more adaptable and highly effective individual.Whether you are starting a new career, graduating into your next chapter, or seeking to navigate complex people challenges, Dawn Profile provides practical solutions you can begin using right away.

Our goal is simple: to give you a clearer picture of yourself so you can succeed on your own terms.

About

Our research

Our assessment is grounded in established psychological models of mental control and attentional focus, drawing on the principles of Attention Control Training (ACT). The framework evaluates individual attentional strengths and weaknesses alongside the specific situational characteristics that dictate a person's behaviour under pressure.

Attentional Control Theory

Developed by Dr. Robert Nideffer in 1976, this framework is grounded in nearly five decades of research and has been used with Olympic training centers, Fortune 500 Companies, the military, and Professional Athletes worldwide. It remains one of the most extensively studied models in performance psychology, helping people understand how attention and interpersonal style shape performance under pressure.

The findings
  • Attention naturally narrows under stress, sharpening focus but risking tunnel vision
  • Most people default to one attentional style under pressure, even when the moment calls for another
  • Performance breakdowns often trace back to a mismatch between attentional style and situational demands
Preliminary Data Validation & Factor Suitability
Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) Measure:
  • Our dataset achieved a KMO Measure of Sampling Adequacy of 0.860. This metric evaluates whether the variables possess enough common variance to justify factor analysis. Values ranging closer to 1.0 indicate high suitability, meaning our sample of 0.860 is exceptionally well-suited for structural modelling.
Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity:
  • We tested whether our correlation matrix significantly differed from an identity matrix. The results were highly significant. This confirms that the correlations between our measured variables are robust enough to proceed with comprehensive factor analysis.
Item Differentiation & Variance (ANOVA)

To verify that our assessment accurately captures diverse responses without yielding flat or uniform data, we analyzed response patterns across a robust sample pool.

  • Sample Size: 700 individuals.
  • Variables: 96 distinct assessment items.
  • Findings: The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) revealed highly significant differences between the items measured (SF = 85.302, p < .001).

This significant variance proves our framework effectively differentiates between various operational styles and cognitive preferences, capturing the nuanced ways people naturally think and work.

By combining these validated psychometric statistics with dynamic attentional theory, the assessment provides high-level, practical insights into where an individual naturally performs best. Moving completely away from the restrictive "box and label" narrative, the tool clarifies operational strengths.
